Me&Food Research Study
Self-monitoring of diet through smartphone applications is a promising method for measuring individual dietary patterns. Our team aims to understand the effect of culture, personality, and eating behavior on usage and acceptability of self-monitoring diet mobile applications.
The findings of our study can inform the design of more individualized and culturally aware diet monitoring apps.
Eligibility

- Age 18+
- Active email address
- Used MyFitnessPal or/and LoseIt to log food
- Logged food for > 1 month between July 2020-present
- Ready to add the study’s MyFitnessPal/LoseIt account as friend on your MyFitnessPal/LoseIt app
Activities

- Fill out a screening survey
- Receive an email with link to the study survey.
- The survey will take 45-60 minutes.
- Complete study survey and receive an amazon gift card $20.
- Extra compensation of $10 for MyFitnessPal users who consent to download of food diary records
